September 14, 2008I was very thankful for the calm Pacific Ocean on this Sunday all-day birding trip with Shearwater Journeys out of Monterey Bay. There was complete overcast until mid-afternoon, yet the smooth seas made up for the lack of sun. I even got three "lifers" on the trip... with photos.
A great birding day!
Highlights included ASHY STORM-PETRELs, LEACH'S STORM-PETRELs, BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS, BULLER'S SHEARWATER, SOUTH POLAR SKUA.
