A pleasant Saturday afternoon along the Pacific Ocean beaches at Moss Landing, California... and also the wonderful Elkhorn Slough Reserve. The highlight was this RED-BREASTED MERGANSER in beautiful breeding plumage!
Additional species included COMMON LOON, SURF SCOTER, WESTERN GREBE, HORNED GREBE, EARED GREBE, MARBLED GODWIT, LONG-BILLED CURLEW.
