Today was a full day of birding! It started early in the darkness of 6am at Almaden-Quicksilver County Park... listening and looking for owls. There was a BARN OWL flyover, and heard a pair of GREAT HORNED OWLs.
My total for the day was 49 species observed, including several WHITE-THROATED SWIFTs above Guadalupe Reservoir. Finished my 7.6-mile day at the Count Dinner in New Almaden at 7pm.
